University research on activism in sport

    Dear all,

I am involved in some research looking at sportsmen and women's activism in sport. I have created a short survey that should only take a few minutes of your time: https://northumbria.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/athlete-activism

Participation is completely voluntary, but I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this subject area.

Is Northumberland where the battle of Fulford Gate was?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Just outside of York. It's where Hadrada and Tostig took on the northern forces and won. Then Harold's Anglo Saxon army (Which had been waiting for William's Normans down south) marched up and caught the Viking army unawares at Stanford Bridge and obliterated them.
