If Ben Simmons can get his head back in the game, play the kind of basketball he is capable of and actually make himself available for the national team we could have a seriously good Boomers squad at the next Olympics.

It's a good fit for Ben. Healthy teams he's the 3rd string and not relied upon to make that big play. Durant, Irving will take that clutch shot. If I'm coaching against him though, close game I'm going to the "Hack a Ben" strategy. Get straight into his head and mess him up.

I can not for the life of me understand how a professional basketball player can shoot below 60% from the free throw line. If I practiced everyday I reckon I could top that and my basketball career took place exclusively in my driveway when I was a kid.

Free throws are gimmes and you're a sucker if you don't respect them.

On Ben Simmons if he could just play with a sense of urgency and pushed the ball every time he'd be just about unstoppable.

What's the footy equivalent of the free throw line, maybe 30 metres out directly in front? Yeah they definitely should be kicking most of those.
