    He's had a 36 over in t20 too.

Couldn't happen to a nicer fella.

I actually like Broad he's a great competitor but this happen ing against another bowler must hurt.

It could have been more too...the 4 Bumrah hit straight after the 6 looked like a full toss above the waist...could have easily been called another no-ball.

And it wasn't like Dopey was bowling to Adam Gilchrist, Pant or Sir Vivian...he was bowling to a genuine number 11 batsman who happens to bat at 10 because the next guy only uses a bat as an accessory.

Pant is one of the most electric players to watch when he is on song. He is total box office in the Gilchrist mould.

England got the better of NZ by being ultra aggressive and it seems the new coach is bringing this philosophy to the team.

They seem determined to score off almost every ball and that will look good while it works, but disastrous when it doesn't.

Batting by the new captain was reckless. Dropped at mid-on and played the same shot to be out next ball.

Without the amazing form of Bairstow they would be scoring very modest totals.

The McCallum approach is certainly suited to Jonny.

That is 4 consecutive tests where England have comfortably chased down targets that, history would indicate, were improbable

They went at almost 5 an over the entire Test match. Bairstow has ascended to another planet the last 6 weeks.

I read this morning that prior to McCallum they had won 1 from 17 games and have now gone 4 in 4, with all victories being exciting, fast scoring thrill fests. Get him to Australia!
