    Cricket Wankers Being Cricket Wankers

There's just something about cricketers at the elite level. We all know what it is, but rarely do we acknowledge it.

Here's the first of many articles that will surface over the coming months about how the "cricket fraternity" is unsettled and so on and so forth......

While it is not uncommon for there to be tension between generations, due in part to the criticism past players deliver in their media roles, there is a particular edge to this feud, as noted by several former cricketers without a stake in the contest.

The drama stems from the belief held by several of Langer’s close friends and former teammates that current players conspired to remove the West Australian from his post.

I guess it's too much for them all to admit they're all wankers, so in lieu of that let's put the dramatic summer exclusives in one thread and see how it goes.

Opened the article expecting to see some form of criticism from Ian Chappell as he seems to think everything was better back in his day. Cricket's version of Mick Malthouse, both old and bitter and desperately trying to stay relevant.

Given the lack of competition over the summer it's taken a bit of time for this to rear its head, but here we go.....

Cricket erupts over two words from Aussie Test great

The spectre of Justin Langer is out of its cage once again following Australia’s humiliating defeat in the First Test against India.

The Aussie XI, coach Andrew McDonald, selectors and captain Pat Cummins have all come under fire in recent days as the tourists fell apart on and off the field.

Now two words from Aussie Test great Damien Martyn have taken things to a new level. The West Australian batter’s simple, two-worded tweet sparked a flurry of responses.

In a tweet that has since been deleted, Martyn on Saturday night wrote: “#justinlanger”.

It was Langer who presided over one of our worst home defeats in a series of all time, against India's second string touring team......but of course, his mates wouldn't mention that.

Anyway, time to get the popcorn out because Australian cricket is set to implode these next few weeks.

I'm not sure if anyone saw the shenanigans between England and India but essentially Stokes offered the two Indian batsman the chance to call the game off a bit earlier while both of them were on scores of mid 80's.
He walked up to the batsman with his hand out for a handshake and seemed a little surprised that they didn't accept it.

He then sort of manipulated the game so they could get to their centuries quickly.

I think the wanker title is quite appropriate for Stokes.

I don't blame the Indian Batsmen wanting to make their centuries even though the game was heading for a draw.

I believe Brook had something to say as well, i just wonder if the boot was on the other foot and it was say Joe Root nearing his ton, would Stokes had accepted the handshake to finish the game? i think not, the Poms seems to really go out of their way to be really disliked, also noticed Carse using his spikes to rough the ball up which Ponting pointed out, it's England, and it wasn't sandpaper, so it's ok!

They just find a way to make you laugh.

Poor Ben didn't want to risk his bowlers in the closing moments of a test.......but was happy enough batting India's bowlers into oblivion.

              Sanctimonious wankers.

              Great thread revival G!
