3rd Test Australia v South Africa - Sydney January 4 to 8, 2023
Re: 3rd Test Australia v South Africa - Sydney January 4 to 8, 2023
They've navigated through the first hour nicely and runs are coming along. 2 for 221 is such a strong position.
SA just don't look to be doing that much except for Nortje and Jansen is bowling okay.

Head reaches 50 and the stats and commentary call it his 12th 50.
His actual record is now 17 scores at 50 and above but cricket insists it is just his 12th 50.
On the cricket stats Bradman made only 13 fifties but somehow managed 29 hundreds.
Logically he made 42 fifties and converted 29 to centuries

Travis Head has improved a lot in the last 12 months or so, I hope he can get to 100.

What I like about Head is the rate at which he scores runs. He almost doesn't have to convert to a century, because his batting and the aggressive nature of it takes the game away from the opposition. Will like to see how he goes in England where we could easiy be 3 for not much and a swinging new Duke ball.

There has a to be a quick declaration this morning assuming Khawaja gets his double hundred.
I can't see us wanting to bat more than 30 minutes.
It's a bit of a shame though that Renshaw may not get much of a chance to impress after a long absence from the test team.

Raining again up there, so another frustrating day.

Sydney has better weather than Melbourne, if less cold days and more humidity is what you want.
I really don't understand the animosity between the two cities but it is what it is. There's more nice people than not in each city, there's more nice things than bad things in both. Anyone who's tried to get across town in Melbourne knows how shit it is, anyone who's tried to get to the airport leading up to 5PM in Sydney knows how bad that is.
The rivalry points out how uninteresting the people in both cities are - at their core. Well at least those who engage in the bullshit.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
