Problem with the mint chewing incident, is there any actual solid proof that it does do things to a ball?
Seriously dont know if its the sugar or just the fact its saliva.
I was always told to have something in my mouth to chew just so you didnt get a dry mouth while standing in the sun for 4 hours.
Mints i would imagine would be one of the things in a players gobs since the year dot.
Other point is eg Ricky Ponting is always chewing gum, he shines the ball as well, thats sugary too.
Mints, chewy or whatever to me its just trying to make something of nothing.
As I said in a previous post its just to make people buy his book.
    Bring back the biff

Obviously, but that doesn't mean it isn't true

Yeah ole Banana Boat SPF 16 does the trick
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

England cheated by letting us play Katich and Clarke for so long in that series and leaving the cricket ball on the ground for McGrath to twist his ankle on.

            Very well said Ernie.
I cant wait for Trescothicks next book where he claims he killed 5-7 prostitutes in the West End in the 1880s, and the Australian press jump on that one.

It's a beat up to promote and sell his book. Nothing more than that.

While the English press is so much fairer and unbias.

The english press are so lethal on theyre own kind, they dont have room in papers for others.

Sorry I don't beleive that. They are worse than ours here.
They might be scaving on their own but are very patriotic when required.

                    Eg "Hands off cobber"

Hey i agree English press are the worst in the world, and very patriotic as are the Australian press, its a healthy rivalry, but this Trescothick book, what a load of rot.

Wish i had shares in Murray Mints though before cricket season starts here.
Wonder if Murray Mints paid him for writing that bit?
