Is there any stopping 'The Hussler'?

Magnificent in the Underwood Stakes on Saturday over 1800m. Sat 3 wide the whole way and ran down Maldivian in the straight with ease, into a strong headwind, to rack up his 7th group 1 this calendar year.

Not bad for what we thought was a specialist sprinter. This horse is truly something special.

The Hussler is the best horse we have ever seen.
    FACT.

I was at Caulfield working for the old man (who's a bookie) and he agrees - best horse he has seen in 50 years and he's seen some ultra-stars.

It will start 1.80 or shorter in the Cox plate and will win it easily. Such a classy horse, and just responds every time.

      That's a big call ...

What race did the Hussler start in recently ? ... oh that's right ... the Makybe Diva stakes ... Why would they name a race after that two bit glue-factory wannabe ??

        Samantha Miss says hi.

I was also at Caulfield on Saturday, it was a very good run by the Hussler who seems to improve with every run. Is going to take some stopping.

Of course its a big call. But I'm putting it out there and saying that the Hussler is and will prove to be a better horse.

Interpretation is the key also - some ppl prefer genuine stayers that are cup runners - I prefer the shorter distance horses. Love a good miler.

For the record - there'll be a race named after the hussler when it retires too - so the fact that the Great Mare has a race named after it means very little to the argument.

Not sure that Sam Miss will run in the Cox. My tip is it wil race on Oaks day. Very good horse Samantha Miss, a star. But the Hussler will give it wind burn if they're brave enough to send it Moonee valley.

After Saturday's run does anyone think that the Hussler is over rated?

I believe the connections are definitely looking at the Cox Plate, especially after the poor showing by Weekend Hussler on Saturday.

Only issue is getting someone that can ride it at 48KG. They flew in Ms Linda Kropp from memory to slaughter Miss Finland 2 years ago - if they get someone to give it a decent ride it is every chance.

You used the collective "we" assuming "ever seen" but since you ask, yes I did see Rising Fast but not the other two unfortunately.

It was ripe for the picking on Saturday due to a number of factors - and Littorio always met it extraordinarily well for weight...

It still won 7 Group 1 wins in 12 months and is far from done this carnival.
Sat three wide into a strong breeze with no cover on Saturday and was drawn in the grandstand.

Too early to write off the champ.

Kingston Town would have still won.
