Channel 9 are flat out stupid...

You'd think that they would have learned their lesson after the ratings bonanza SBS got during the last ashes series. C9 couldnt see the risk they took giving up the cricket broadcasting rights and, quite rightly, had their pants pulled down. This time around it's Foxtel who wont have any competition. If this series is half as good as it looks like being then C9 have managed to it again.

The last Ashes series, giving up the entire finals series to Channel 10 during the rights agreement, their pitiful treatment of Victorian NRL fans, yep, I think you're right.

C9's coverage being better than C7's is like being the best looking woman in Deer Park or St Albans though. it aint much of an achievment.

Maybe they knew that the Australians would play like sloths (I really hope Katich wasn't playing to instructions) in the 2nd innings and suck the life out of the game?

Did anyone care by lunch on Day 4 when the tactics were plain for all to see? At some point, we simply have to get over the scar of losing after enforcing the follow-on in 2001 and go back to trying to win in India. Spinning tracks from this point on - we are in real trouble now.

I'm not a tv executive, but if i was, i would definitely not devote my entire prime time period, for 20 days in a short period, to test cricket. I think to do so would be 'flat out stupid'.

Good point , I live in St Albans but say I live in Sydenham, not much improvement there either so will call Sydenham C1O, not even in the race for any sport or competes women wise.
No wonder I have been single 5 years!

Instead put 3 versions of CSI (some of them repeats), together any crap that the US pump out.

They've (Channel 9) have got the two channels with the HD one as well ... surely we can get some cricket on one of the channels ... Even if it was a replay later during the night ... Give us something !!

This subject came up during the olympics when there was the clash between the Softball and Basketball later on. There is some provision in the anti-siphoning laws that currently stops the networks from showing the live sport on their HD channels.

Channel 10 show a fair bit of live golf & motor sport on their HD channel so I'm not sure how correct this statement is.
