Casson had his chance, which he quite frankly never deserved in the first place.

Doherty is much more of a one day player. He'll play international cricket, just not in whites.

Krezja, for all of his shortcomings on Australian wickets, at least deserves first crack.

The vibe I'm getting is Krezja just got 0-200 in his last test.

Let him play before he is declared as useless in Australia.

Kallis is a terrific batting all-rounder and gets as close to a true all-rounders spot as you could be lets face it , he couldn't hold his spot solely as a bowler although he has been used as the 4th bowler on more than a few occasions.

When Flintoff couldn't bowl he was still played as a batsman which is the real point of difference.

So you simply cannot be a true all rounder at club level because they are not regarded as the best in the country?

A true all rounder [at any level] is a player that is relyed on to do a job with both bat & ball or bat & keeper, maybe it comes down to what their averages are with both bat & ball.

Regardless of the level of cricket being played, an allrounder is someone who could still keep his spot in the team if he suddenly lost his ability to do one of his skills.

A no-rounder is someone who bats a bit and bowls a bit but doesn't do either well enough to get a game. They just end up as someone who can't make any runs and can't get anyone out.

An all rounder is a player that has more than a one trick pony, who is relyed on a regular basis.

Michael Clarke is a batsman who can bowl a bit, so he's not regarded as an all rounder, Cam Wight is an all rounder, but at state level, not a good enough batsman or bowler at International level, but he is at state level.

Shane Watson is an all rounder, can open with the bat, or bat at 6, and a first change medium fast bowler, would he be good enough to hold his spot as JUST a bowler or batsman? probably not, but as that all rounder, he does.

With the foul weather set to continue at least for the next 4-5 days up here in "sunny" Qld , I can't see the wicket being conducive to spin. It will be a greentop all the way.
As hard a decision it would be to drop him after his 12 wicket debut haul, I think conditions would not suit Krezja at all.
As much as I think long term it won't work, I think Watson and Symonds should play this week, given the likely weather conditions.

Looked very green on the news report tonight, so I tend to agree with you.
