    1st test selection

Whilst I'm not happy about Symonds getting his spot back so easily I find it very intriguing that there is supposed to be a battle between Watson and Krejza for the 4th bowling spot.
Surely once Symonds was given the nod the battle should have between Krejza and Siddle not Krejza and Watson?

Australia are automatically a better side with Symonds in it.
Rain in QLD probably means Watson in favour of Krejza.

Another unbalanced Australian side. Krezja should of played.

        And we're 2/ already...not an inspiring start.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Geez, make it 3/ Ponting out too.

At least we have some reasonable batting depth - we're looking in real trouble early.

I'm revising my whole 'Ponting is among the best 3 batsman' theory. He's completely lost the abilty to perform under pressure.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Whats the point playing a 2nd test spinner if you don't need him or he won't get a bowl.

I'm just thankful we have Hussey.

Clarke isn't looking convincing, but he'll probably go on to make 100 now I've said that.

Where has Southee come from? I must admit I'm not familiar with the majority of the NZ side, but this kid looks as though he can bowl.

Will it still be a green top in 3 or 4 days time?

Personally I used to enjoy bowling on wickets that start off as greens top's. It means there is plenty of moisture in the wicket which helps the ball grip and with the extra moisture the fast bowlers produce 'nice' foot marks to ball into.

Great U-19 WC tournament. Has been around since the start of the year. Still very young

Just the ability to perform at the moment.

It might not last 4 days.

Yeah, will most likely be his last summer in Australia opening the batting, would be good for him to go out with ANOTHER ton on Boxing day.

Thankfully Katich held his own at the top of the order over in India, but who takes Haydos's position? Is Jacques fit & ready to take his spot?

With selection, i don't think it really makes alot of difference rither way, we'll give the Kiwi's the hiding of all hidings!
