Probably means Siddle will carry the drinks allowing Krezja to come into the team.
Why wouldn't have Siddle have been selected in the first test instead of Watson?
FWIW, Watson's bowling has been better than expected but not that of a strike bowler.
I wonder if he had made a 50 with the bat or taken 5 wickets with the ball if they would have still made that change?

Does anyone else think we tend to kill our young bowlers by dragging them round the country as the drinks man? Happened to Tait, Hilfy and now happening to Siddle. Young players need to play so let them I say.
I should probably know this but where is the game being played?

Don't Victoria head over to India for a 20/20 comp after the current game in WA?
Not sure about that. I think there has definetly been times where we have starved young bowlers of cricket by carrying them around as near permanent 12th men. Might not be the case this time but it does happen.
Spinner is essential in Adelaide (pitch otherwise known as hume highway) so Siddle will be 12th man.
Watson might yet be back in the team. Symo = dickhead of the highest order.
Nothing in it from what they are reporting on SEN but he certainly doesn't put himself in the right places at the right time. As much as I am dirty on his free ride back into the Test team this doesn't appear to be a genuine issue.

There was nothing in the Darren Lockyer bouncer incident either, until it was proven otherwise.
Irrespective of whether or not Symonds instigated anything, he is a total fool for willingly placing himself in such a vulnerable position. His international career is hanging by a thread - have some brains and just pull your head in for a couple of months.

Moving on from symonds for the moment I find it interesting that S Clark might be dropped for Siddle. It would make sense because if Siddle was just going to carry the drinks why bring him into the squad? Ponting is now going on about "horses for courses" selection policy, and S Clark figures at the adelaide oval are not to flash.
I heard this afternoon that the bloke asked Symonds for a photo and Symonds told him to **** off. That's when the bloke had a crack at him.
Yes, asked him for his autograph after walking up to him and hugging him. From the report of the publican, to say he (the patron) was a bit scotch mist is an understatement.
That's all he needs when having a few quiet ones, some slob comes up and hangs off him.
