Ford Ranger Cup - Vics vs WA

    WA

    6/211 after 44.3

    Ronchi 43* (44)
    Heal 28* (21)

This partnership is putting WA back into the game as they were in a bit of trouble beforehand.

Glad to see Ronchi hitting it well...he might just be in the process of winning WA the game...Heal's batting excellently as well.

Now why is Haddin still getting a game?

Haddin should miss all the limited over games allowing Ronchi to gain more international exposure.
In twenty/20 cricket you could get by with a back stop rather than a keeper anyway.

Because Ronchi is a slogger who only makes a score once a year.

Prefer that to someone who's byes and scores are nearly identical, not to mention the drops.

We are losing wickets but we are close. The partnership of McDonald and Crosthwaite is critical.

                    Vics 6/245

Need 19 off 30. Should be home from here, McDonald 36no (he's been doing rather well since I game him a spray).

Got home with 9 balls to spare with 4 wickets in hand.

Caps off a good week in WA.

Can't say i remember too many drops. No more than what we'd have with Gilchrist as keeper (not a shot at Gilly BTW)

He's going at about one drop a match.

They can be quite idiotic at times too (i.e: the one he grassed whilst diving in front of Hayden, who would have taken it comfortably)

Whilst Gilly was always never an outstanding gloveman, of say, Healy quality, he proved time and time again that he could make a large amount of runs at international level. Haddin hasn't even looked close to possesing this ability, and his keeping isn't good enough to neccesitate his place alone like Healy's was.

His hundred was solid and the guys commentating like Heals and Chappel rate his keeping (who can judge it far better than i can).

If he's diving stupidly then hopefuly we won't have any chances go between fist slip and the keeper that leaves them looking stupidly at eachother.
