I know it's a long way out but do you reckon he will stay with the mighty Cavs or leave (New York Knicks)? Apart from this site I regularly go on the Cavs forum and this is the number #1 topic in Cleveland and New York. I reckon he will either stay in Cleveland or bring his game to the Euroleague. (hopefully he stays in Cleveland)

I haven't really followed Basketball for a couple of years now because the NBA lost a lot of appeal. Lebron though, is just an athletic freak and is great to watch.

To be honest I think he's gone. Thought he was possibly more likely to end up with the Nets once they moved to Brooklyn but that's on hold and probably won't happen til at least 2012 if at all and I can't imagine him wanting to move from Cleveland to Jersey, so Knicks it probably is. Don't rule out the Bulls either. They'd probably unretire 23 for him.
Best case scenario for Cleveland is that they win a championship before he leaves which might be instrumental in helping him stay, but they've struggled to put together a good enough supporting cast to do this. Shame he never had Mark Price at his side.Park that car

I'd love it if he went to Europe. The NBA took my team away from me so I really hope they lose their number #1 poster boy. Screw David Stern!
Euroleague have a ton of cash GVGjr, lots! If a team really could afford him he probably could earn more over there. It's doubtful it would happen but it is a possibility. A lot of guys in the off-season went to the Euro's for more money but most of those were "Average" salary earners.Comment

There's is no chance he will go to Europe. The only reason to go is for the $$ but he already gets bucket loads in sponsorship deals and will get a max salary. The Cavs have built a great supporting cast at the moment and I think they are a greaet chance to win it all this year. Next year though a lot will depend on if Big Z's body holds up for another season.
IMO, win the championship next year and he will stay, lose and he is a Knick which would make me spew.Comment

I think Cleveland will take out the Eastern Conference this year at least. They're sitting at 14-3 while having some room for improvement. They have Mo Williams providing a scoring option, Big Z doing what he does best, Delonte West improving, Daniel Gibson should get back into form and they have Wally Sczerbiaks expiring contract which they'll probably trade for a decent power forward. Not to mention Ben Wallace and Anderson Varejao playing well and their rookie power forward JJ Hickson getting some minutes. Plus they have this guy Lebron James who goes alright.Comment

He wouldn't consider Euroleague...he made a passing comment in saying he would go over for $50 mil. (a near unforeseeable amount), after Josh Childress, a bench-player (albeit a good one) for the Hawks recieved a large sum to ply his trade over their.
The Cavs are one superstar short of becoming a dynasty, and may have to shoot themselves in the foot in terms of future development (i.e: give up half their roster for one player, ala Boston) to win a championship. Gibson, Sczerbiak, Mo Williams, et al., are all good players, but they lack a genuine second scoring option.

You hear the likes of Michael Redd and Chris Bosh being targets for the much anticipated deadline trade, but I think that's just Cavs fans getting ambitious. Rumours are that the Michael Redd trade was all set to go but Anderson Varejao blocked it. When Zydrunas and Wallace retire we're in a bit of trouble because the Cavs haven't really been drafting well over the past few years.Comment

Wallace is a complete joke these days...for a starter to have not scored over 10 points once for his franchise is a terrible effort, no matter how good he is on defence.

Wallace is on the decline averaging 2.8 ppg and 7.1 rpg this year compared to his career averages of 6.4 ppg and 10.4 rpg, but he is averaging 7.8 mpg less. This has allowed players like Varejao (who is having a career season) to come in and contribute which is why the cavs are 17-3.Comment
