    Boxing Day Test

It's been reported that we will be making just the one change, Hauritz in for Krejza which is probably fair enough.

Huge test for our top order. Ponting, Hayden & Hussey all need to contribute.

Glad Siddle gets another go, I think it would have been a bit unfair if he was replaced. It's not like Hilfenhaus has been knocking the door down to get into the team.

Yes the change was probably the most likely however, there is still quite a few players with the big question marks over them.

Hayden - Obviously has Rogers and Hughes closing in
Symonds - Has Watson breathing down his neck
Hauritz - Given the selectors can't seem to settle on this position
Siddle - Just one decent haul away from securing his position

Lee - A long way off being dropped I would have thought but some worrying signs

The South Africans have a settled side and game plan which makes them a competitive outfit.

Should be a good game and yes the majority of our middle order needs to get their mojo back

Siddle will have a little more penetration on his home pitch where it rewards players who consistently hit a length hard. If the pitch is true to form then he will get a little more sideways movement and certainly a bit more inconsistent bounce. I dont agree with Hauritz playing at all. If you dont want to play Kreija then just play 4 quicks IMO. Brett Lee needs a big test IMO. Its hard to remember a bowler looking less likely than he did in the last test.

In hot condition's they will take 7 & 1/2 hours to get through 90 overs if they don't play a spinner.

          Big first session for Hayden.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Do you think he still will play in Sydney regardless?
I think the selectors need to make the change but I have no faith that they will.

If they keep giving Roy a free pass & drinks cards, i'm sure they'll do the same with Haydos.

Having said that, i REALLY wanted Matty to have a big one today, sad to see a champion just about down & out.

                    1/89 at lunch.

Ponting dropped at 3rd slip in the last over before lunch. Regulation chance which should have been taken by McKenzie.

Finally a bit of luck comes our way. This SA side is noted for their catching so it could be a costly error for them.

We would be well pleased with the score line at the moment but we need to keep putting some partnerships together and one of the guys needs to make a 100.

You've just dropped the World Cup!
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I don't think I've ever, ever seen McKenzie turn in a good performance against Australia.
