I woudnt even consider bringing him back into the test team.
I have my doubts about how good he really was but over 300 test wickets is still a very good record. His poor conversion of getting 10 wickets in a game when compared to other 300 plus test wicket takers does highlight he wasn't overly great.

I would certainly want him back into the side if he can regain form but he must be able to get wickets. The days of a direct passage back into this side like Symonds had should be reviewed and Lee should be made to earn it.

I certainly dont think he is finished but I wouldnt pick him because I dont think he will do much more than the guys who replace him. If guys are about level then you look at the age of the bowler and play the younger one. We need to develop these bowlers and that can only happen by playing them.

Can the same be said of Stuart Clark?

I worry about his elbow not his form. Clark is our best bowler when fit so he is above the chasing pack. SA will be frightened of Clark getting it right on the greener wickets they have. Slight doubt as to whether Clark can get back from that injury.

Asking cos he is a year older than Brett Lee. If Lee should be made to earn his spot again then maybe so should Clark?

Everyone should have to earn it. I just think Clark when fit is a better bowler than Lee. If Clark comes back and shows some form the I would get him straight in because IMO he is still our best bowler when fit. Signs looked bad in India but its hard to tell if its because of the elbow or whether his form is declinning with age.

Just seems that the automatic excuse for a player out of form these days is an injury. Ponting, Lee, Clark and Symonds. Whats Hussey carrying?

To be fair Clark has had surgey on his elbow. An elbow injury would be fairly hard to bowl with I would imagine. Hussey might be suffering dizzy spells after running around that catch the other day.

He probably regret that for the rest of his career. It looked terrible and embarassing.

What happened to no 30+ year old bowlers?
