    England All Out 51

What is it about Sabina Park & these 2?

Overnight England were bowled out for 51 to lose by an innings & 23 runs. Freddie Flintoff was the only batsman to score double figures with 24.

Last time they met here England bowled the West Indies out for 47!

Very strange the way world cricket is at the moment. If England and Australia keep performing like this no one but the die hards will want to watch the Ashes series.

All comes down to which one decides to get its act together and chooses the right selectors, coach and players, along with player harmony.
Sad to say I dont think its anything to do with players abillity for the downfall of both teams.

          Can't agree with that.

Australia loses 4 or 5 of it's very good/ great cricketers over 12 to 18 mths and you expect that there will be no drop off?

I know where you are coming from but we should be playing better than we are despite the retirements. Maybe we just need to cop out medicine but for a sport in this country that is not really hampered by salary cap considerations, forward planning and fast tracking players should have meant we had the right players coming through the system.

Back to the England result, if this had have been Pakistan making 51 there would have been a very loud cry of someone rigging the game.

I didnt say no drop off but both teams would be a lot better with better people and organization upstairs.
We all know how crucial in cricket it is to get the off field decisions right and both sides are having problems there.
Australia knew these players were going to retire, no forward planning.

Surely losing to SA isn't as bad as being beaten by the Windies by an innings

There has been no forward planning by Australian Cricket.

Add to that injuries (Clark), selfishness (Clarke), discipline (Symonds), sookiness (Ponting) and stupidity (selectors) you have the ingredients for failure.

What's this referring to? The changeroom thing?

I'd have thought not going to the IPL was an indication of unselfishness.

                      I agree.

                      Where has Clarke been selfish?

The selectors have to carry the main burden with our results this summer because typically they have got it wrong more than they got it right. The injuries on top of the retirements would have been a huge hurdle but we should have done better. I still think the mix of state cricket with a different agenda to the National one isn't a great recipe during a transition phase.

He wanted to go see Bingle(so would a lot of men) when he should been singing the gingle.

It will be good for world cricket if the Windies can improve, they bring something else to cricket that no other team does. Interesting stage where heading into here with no cleary dominant team in the world and some of the lesser countries improving. Should be fun to watch heading into the future.

How long should he have waited for the song? They were in the rooms for 5 hours, I reckon he was well within his rights to give the team a hurry-up.
