Players shot include Jayawardena, Vaas, Mendis and pretty sure I heard Jayasuriya.
Mixed up Jayasuriya with Sangakarra. I hope our cricket board doesn't come out and say "I told you so". People have died here and thats all that matters for the moment.
Lets hope that all the players are OK as that is the most important thing but this tragedy just about closes the door on Pakistan as a test cricket nation for the foreseeable future. Whilst SA was in isolation for a number of years, Pakistan does not have a strong state or province type of competition like the SA Currie Cup to keep their players developing.
From memory the main teams in Pakistan are linked to business and banks.
Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"
Maybe a bullet in the elbow might have straightened Murali up!
Apart from that, very tragic that sports people are brought into people conflicts to further or bring to light their cause. Shows my age but the first thing I thought of was the 72 Olympics in Munich when the Isreali athletes were killed.

I think it's being co-hosted by a few different places.
The cricket world cup was supposed to be, but the Comm Games are usually hosted by an individual city as it was in 2006 when Melbourne hosted it. Just checked & it's set down for Delhi, in India.
