Ball is fair and square in Tassies court.

Qld will struggle to take any points home so if Tassie can get the last two SA wickets and then get some runs it could make for an interesting last session.

Tassie picked up the last 2 SA wickets within 10 balls of the resumption of play without conceding a run.

      Tassie 2/71 lead by 119.

When the final starts next week Hodge might still be batting, currently 220no. Hussey 61; Vics 2/408.

        Typical Hodge.

Just when it looked like he would make a good score he throws his wicket away for 261

        Vics 4/483

Tassie are in desperate trouble of choking in Adelaide.

        Currently 5/112, lead of 160

No wonder he doesnt get picked for national duties, has good starts but cant go on with it.
Now if he was like Symonds and getting huge scores like 30 and the odd 50 he would be straight into the test team.

Hodge is seriously the unluckiest cricketer, in Australian history.

Unlucky yes, unluckiest I wouldn't think so. Jamie Siddons played some magnificent cricket and never played for Australia. I saw him make 200 in a day and he was more than good enough to have played a lot of games for Australia.

                      Very true.

But in terms of batsmen, people who were there to make runs.

I can't think of anyone else, help?

Geoff Boycott made 265 no v India and got dropped.

The team needed quick runs and Geoffrey was playing out maidens looking for red ink.

Didn't he always bat like that?

Vics give Qld some payback for their 900 in the final a couple of years ago.

                            8/806 dec

                            Hodge 261
                            Rogers 123
                            White 124
                            Wade 100no

That's 2 100's in 2 games for Wade. There's a spot available for the Ashes tour as well, good timing.

SA 3/148 chasing 337. Tassie need a couple of wickets.

Looks getting Wade from Tassie and dropping Crothwaite has really paid off. He's the perfect age to take over from Haddin once he's retired or dropped.
