Magoffin & Geeves are 2 that come to mind.

Playing OK but not necessarily beating down the door.

Wouldn't the concern be going into an Ashes tour having 5 quicks with very limited international experience and no ashes experience?
To me at least one of Lee or Clark should go even if it as the 4th and/or 5th wheel

Clark should definitely go, if he can put in a few overs between now and then that show that he's still the same Stuart Clark. Lee, ehm...

I'm undecided on this one. There seems to be quite a bit of quick bowling talent hanging about the Australian scene at the moment but we can't seem to get all our fast bowlers out on the park at the same time as someone or other is always breaking down, so an in-form Lee is not the worst back-up in the world.

Having said that, he MUST NOT be picked on reputation -- we've gone down that road and seen that it leads nowhere. SS pointed out that he had a chance to prove himself in County Cricket but is choosing to play IPL .. if he's assuming he should be called up just purely because he believes he should be, that's not quite good enough at this stage.

For me Clark definitely goes as well, when fit he plays in our test team.

I just don't think we should be taking Lee.

Hopefully they remember the Jason Gilliespi failure last time around, when they think about picking Lee.
When the end comes, it comes very very quickly for fast bowlers.

I notice Stuart Clark has signed for Kent.

Good to see one of our more experienced bowlers values a baggy green and is prepared to work his way back rather than wait for the benevolence of the selectors.

Quite a lot of complaining that Clark and Hughes have signed for counties in an ashes year and there is some talk of preventing this in the future.

Complaining by who? England or Australia?

The English side doesn't want these guys run into form.
