    Andrew Symonds Sent Home

    Andrew Symonds has been dumped from the Australia Twenty20 squad

    Australia all-rounder Andrew Symonds is being sent home from the World Twenty20 cricket tournament in England for breaking a number of team rules related to alcohol and other issues.

    Symonds was a notable absentee at Australia's training session on Thursday before the Twenty20 World Cup.

    The 33-year-old has a long list of disciplinary stuff-ups and if he is in trouble again, CA would appear to have little option but to tear up his contract.

                  Heard the CA media manager (Peter Young??) on SEN this morning.

                  Said the offence against Symonds was very minor, but due to his priors the punishment is far greater. Any other player would have copped a slap on the wrist.

                  What is the bet that Symonds was having a couple of beers after watching the S.O.O?

                          What a shame for Andrew, his talent and cricketing ability are rare. He obviously has a problem with alcohol and hope he can do something about it.
