Easy win by the Blues and the Vic's were never in the game. Once Quiney and Hodge were back in the pavilion without scoring the game was as good as over.
Henriques has had a good series with both bat and ball and might start to pressure Hopes for a national spot in the short versions of the game.

Saw the result this morning, and thought bugger - GVGjr was right!

Henriques is one of those guys who was thought from a very young age to be a future australian player

Yep.

When Twenty20 first started, I thought it would be very tough going for specialist spinners but it actually seems to really suit economic/clever spinners. Variety and batsman having to create their own pace can be great assets when trying to restrict opponents from posting massive scores.

I think the game suits 3 types of bowlers:
- Clever/economic spinners, Daniel Vettori is the poster child.
- Clever medium pacers with variety/slower balls. Gul is a good example
- Those with awesome raw pace (I think pace can end up hurting bowlers but if it's extreme pace, it can just become too difficult to regularly hit. Can wait for the crap ball that regularly comes with the speed demons).

The game is very harsh on medium-fast bowlers who bowl line and length. Guys like Clark and (formerly) McGrath are still going to be good because of their overall quality but their predictably hurts them in Twenty20. Siddle is a mule at the longer form of the game, consistently getting dangerous bounce off the deck. In Twenty20, the pace and bounce he gets off the deck ends up hurting him.

That would have been a good move. Ponting isn't a great captain and I have my doubts that Clarke should be his deputy.

I know a lot go on about state patriotism,but the money NSW won goes back into the sport. That has to be good for the game. Where was Joey Johns? I thought he was a NSW T20 player afew years back
