    Blackburn - 40/-14 (Wolves -A)
    Wolves - 40/-19 (Blackburn (H)
    Birmingham - 40/-20 (Spurs - A)
    Blackpool - 40/-21 (Man Utd - A)
    Wigan - 40/-22 (Stoke - A)
Just about every result went against what Wigan wanted on the weekend. If Blackpool or Wolves had have drawn or lost then Wigan's win would have been huge. Now they need a minimum of a point against Stoke in an away game.

I'm actually thinking it might be better for them to be relegated and have a chance of winning most weeks next season. Hard to attract players though.

Doubt it, Man Utd will keep half their team on ice for the Champions League Final.

I know but it doesn't help Wolves much. At least our destiny is in our hands, but would be disappointed if Blackpool get through over us because they get Man U reserves while we play a desperate Blackburn. On the upside Brum have a Tottenham team who should be looking to win and Stoke are realistically a better team than Wigan.

Interesting times in the championship next season with Millwall and West Ham in the same league. The Millwall fans already setting it off hiring a light plane and hovering over Wigan with a banner "Avram Grant Millwall legend".

For those of us new to EPL with no idea of history, what is the significance of Milwall and West ham in the same division?

All I know is they're both London teams, which always provides some derby heat - the below I've read for the first time just then, and is from the Hammers wiki page.

The strongest and oldest rivalry is with Millwall. The two sides are local rivals, having both formed originally around the works sides Thames Ironworks and Millwall Ironworks shipbuilding companies. They were rivals for the same contracts and the players lived in the same locality. The early history of both clubs are intertwined, with West Ham proving to be the more successful in a number of meetings between the two teams, resulting in West Ham being promoted at the expense of Millwall. Millwall later declined to join the fledgling Football League while West Ham went on to the top division and an FA Cup final. Later in the 1920s the rivalry was intensified during strike action started by the East End (perceived to be West Ham fans) which Isle Of Dogs-based companies (i.e. Millwall fans) refused to support, breeding ill will between the two camps.

The rivalry between West Ham and Millwall has involved considerable violence and is one of the most notorious within the world of football hooliganism. The teams were drawn against each other in the second round of the 2009–10 League Cup and met on 25 August 2009 at Upton Park. This was the first time in four years that the two clubs had played each other, and the first ever in the League Cup. Clashes between hundred of fans occurred outside the ground, resulting in violence erupting up to half a mile away from the stadium, with serious injuries, damage to property and several arrests reported by police. There were also several pitch invasions which brought a temporary halt to the game.[48]

You might like to download 'Green Street Hooligans', gives a real good insight into the hatred between the fans of these two teams.

How to beat the Premier League drop

It was Sir Alex Ferguson who coined the phrase "squeaky bum time" and you can almost hear the nerve ends jangling from the north west to the West Midlands.

With West Ham already down, five clubs go into the last day of the season separated by a single point as they battle to avoid filling the final two relegation slots.

With enough permutations to leave Archimedes needing a lie down, any pair from Blackburn, Wolves, Birmingham, Blackpool and Wigan could be heading for the dreaded trapdoor come Sunday evening.

With that in mind, we've prepared this handy cut-out and keep survival guide for the infamous five, determining what they must do to keep their heads above water, barring freak results.

                              Re: EPL predicitions

Results that effect the bottom of the table:

                              Man Utd 4-2 Blackpool
                              Wolves 2-3 Blackburn
                              Stoke 0-1 Wigan
                              Spurs 2-1 Birmingham

As a result, Blackpool & Birmingham join West Ham in being relegated. Wigan with consecutive wins to finish the season survive along with Wolves who's late goal along with Spurs second consigned Birmingham to the drop.

Well, one piece of good news, although we certainly know how to keep it interesting.
4 minutes from time and we're down 3-1 and Brum are 1-1 and we're going down. We score one, Spurs score one and we're up.

3 straight seasons in the Premier League for Wolves. Hopefully they can consolidate themselves next season. Had some good wins this year but need to be more consistent.
