    NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament

Anyone else been watching this? I've really enjoyed the coverage of it.

Whilst a lot of the fancied teams are progressing there has been some good upsets along the way.
If you are looking for a team to follow perhaps the Butler Bulldogs are worth watching. They had a good win today and are now into the last 8.
St Marys have been a giant killer and have 6 Australian players.

Fell short today and lost to Baylor who were the 3rd seed of that bracket. St Marys got beaten by 23 points.

          Terrific game.

The eight is set. Care to have a guess at the winner?

I have been watching (strangely enough). Really enjoyed watching Crawford from Xavier...was disappointed when they went out in double-ot.

I like K-State to go all the way, but that double ot game yesterday morning might take a bit of a toll. Kentucky have John Wall and that might be enough (though the sporadic defensive break-downs could cause them to lose at any time).
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Xaviers back court duo were superb Crawford and Holloway - a perimeter team trying to get it done against a very well coached team more focused on inside touches - great contest

K-State were very well drilled, impressively coached indeed

Nice to see Melbourne boy Benny Allan finish his St Marys careeer in style, even if the team didn't win - he was a gun at 17 and will continue to improve post a college career

Very hard to predict who will win it from here - Kentucky could put it together, West Virginia did not look to have the guards, but were otherwise impressive, Duke if got hot from here could do it, basically I think it is wide open, with only Tennessee or Michigan State not looking one of the teams good enough to win it. Just cant see M.State doing it. Maybe Baylor can spring an upset

Kentuckys J.Wall is a definite NBA player, but thats not to say his game does not have holes, he's still overly turnover prone and could be exploited, but he is a superb athlete with a good handle and shot. Not unlike a Derek Rose who is far from a finished product.

Butler through to the final 4 and a solid performance.

I've been a fan of Michigan State for a number of years, so I'm hoping they can finish off well.

Kentucky is my tip at this stage.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Michigan State have done amazingly well to get this far having lost two players. But the 'genius' of Izzo just has to be tempered - that hand in the face, buzzer beater in round 1 had nothing to do with him.

Izzo consistently does a good job, though I rarely enjoy watching his teams

They always compete hard, but are often full of shooting guards who have unorthodox shots, and who I have trouble enjoying

Commentators went overboard with Izzo love for mine. But for a miracle shot they were home last weekend in a big upset....somehow now he has orchestrated this?

That said, the K-State coach is legitimately insane. If I was a ref I wouldn't EVER call him for a technical - he looks like his head is about to explode when they are up by 10!

Great final between the Duke Blue Devils and the Butler Bulldogs. I won't say the scores just in case people are watching the replay.

Just finished watching this years final (yes I'm a little behind).
I liked UConn all year but remember saying to someone that "they didn't have the depth to win the tournament". Boy did I get that one wrong!

Can't help but rehash how much of a dim wit Ater Majok had been before the season to leave the school. I wonder how he feels now?????
