Good luck to her tonight and hopefully she can win her way through to the French Open Grand Slam.

She has been in great form for the past few months hopefully it can continue for another few months.

Hard to see Sam getting beaten the way she demolished Jankovic last night. Very considerate of sam to trounce her nice and quick so we could all get to bed at a not too unreasonable hour.

Jankovic didn't manage to hit a winner in the entire first set and gave up long before the end of the second.

Yes, I thought so too Jankovic seemed really flat and dispirited, Stosur was excellent and put Jankovic off her game. I am looking forward to the final.

Good call bob. Love Sam and she has been the form player of the claycourt season (albeit only winning one tournament in that time, her second ever).. made the semi-final of the French last year too, so shouldn't be a surprise. Her game seems built for the women's claycourt game (even though she didn't grow up on the red stuff), with that fantastic kick second serve and the clay being slow enough for her to run around onto that cannon forehand.

Some were saying that she seemed out of place in the Haiti Fundraiser that Fed organised at the Aussie Open this year that featured: Fed, Rafa, Djokovic, Roddick, Clijsters, Lleyton, Serena and Sam, but she's the only one apart from Rafa who is still left in the tournament. Good on her, and the way she's playing, she shouldn't have to rely on luck to knock Franscesca off.

Not a tennis fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm all for cheering any Aussie on in their respective game. Good luck to Sam, and do us and yourself proud.
