    Cricket Draft?

    Does anyone want to have a bit of fun by having a cricket draft?

    Just take it in turns of selecting one player, past or present to assemble your best team of 12?
    There probably won't be a clear winner but it should be interesting.

      Yep. Count me in.
      They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

              Anyone know a good way of selecting the draft order? Powerball numbers or something like that?

                I reckon we pick our sides then we come up with a method for evaluating the best side.

                First we need to decide the pool of players we are going to use. Is it all the international players currently playing or who have ever played? We could make it all the test players to have represented Australia, or some other country.

                  Then, would we go in batting order where our first 2 selections are openers, or just whoever you want & slot them into an order when you have your eleven?

                    That's probably the sensible way.

                      I think we shouldn't include current players

                        Are there enough players to keep it to Australians? Of the top of my head that gives us @850 players to pick from.

                        That's enough and we all know most of the players pretty well.

                          I'd prefer it if we could pick players from all countries, just an opinion.

                            Heres a handy reference for all Australian test cricketers;

                              It's more of a challenge with just Australians.
