    Xavier Doherty?

He's not necessarily a bowler that I ever see playing test cricket but wouldn't his results in the limited forms of the game warrant selection for Australia if not at least a strong consideration?

He's bowling alright ATM with 3 of the four Vic wickets to fall.

He's a decent bowler. Is he up to test standards?
I think there is a few average spin bowlers in state cricket but Doherty and O'Keeffe look like they could improve

Not sure about that, but he should be in the ODI & T20 teams.

If he puts a '2' at the front of his postcode, he's every chance for higher honours. Good prospect but needs a better PR manager.

He's just been included in the ODI squad.

Doherty has been a very good player for quite a while.
He has lacked a few chances even with Tas as he has played second string behind Krezja a bit.
He has a good all round game and is always competitive.

As a spin bowler I don't think he suffers in comparison to the incumbent test spinner.

Being a left handed also works in his flavour being able to take the ball away from right hand bats.

Wow, he's certainly turned this game on it's head.

                      Currently has 4 for 15 off 5 overs(plus a run out)

Probably bowls a bit quicker than necessary but that might be more around first game nerves.

                          You just have to laugh.

                          Australian cricket sucks.
