Awesome time to come on for your first trundle in test cricket with the opposition being 0/100 and scoring at a good clip, but I guess he could do no worse than the current nuffies.
I can't remember anyone in test cricket history taking more wickets from pies than Mitch. He took a bunch of wickets from pies in the UK last Ashes series and his 3 of his last 4 wickets in this series have been from absolute garbage half-trackers that should have been dispatched to the fence. He certainly is an enigma, capable of bowling unplayable spells when conditions suit, in between large periods of bowling innocuous fluff.

I remember Allan Border taking a bag of wickets at the SCG vs WI and many of them were pies.

Stu MacGill?
This is two tests in a row where our opening bowlers have fallen for the trap of trying to blast the opposition out after we have posted a low score. The wicket was still doing a bit and we really just needed to put the ball in the right areas. We looked like we were trying to take a wicket every ball and the result was plenty of boundaries. As soon as we started bowling to some sort of plan and bulding up some pressure in the right areas we started taking wickets. Extremely frustrating.

One of the main reasons he hasn't done that well this series, and that we lost the Ashes. England have been good at leaving the crap balls and hitting the (just) bad balls. He has got so many wickets in his career from loose shots played at stupidly wide deliveries. He can bowl the odd unplayable ball, but for the most part if you just leave his rubbish alone, he's relatively harmless these days.
Great news that Troy Cooley has been given the arse. What a horrible bowling coach he's been. Now for Nielsen and Hilditch to follow... can't believe Nielsen's contract extension. What value does he add? How many guys have come into the team and improved of late? Everyone seems to get worse. And we haven't exactly bowled to a plan, fielded well, or appeared to be a team this series. I just don't see what value he's adding to the squad.
Watching the Saffa's fast bowlers makes our guys look like park cricketers. Hilfy would struggle to play for their B team.
Steyn is up there with Ambrose and McGrath as the best fast bowlers I've ever seen. His battle with Sachin is some of the best Test cricket you'll ever see.

Its a great test, Im streaming it and this is probably the best day of test match cricket I've ever seen. Watching Steyn in this form is what I imagine watching Malcolm Marshall in his prime was like and yet even against all that Tendulkar bats on. This is why we desperately need a test championship

It is a good Test isn't it. Now THAT'S test cricket, not the dross being served up down under (that I'm not bothering to follow at all). Steyn vs. Sachin -- two mature, world class sportsmen in top form; sure beats watching Steve Smith try to prove to everyone that he's a Test no.6 when the likes of Brad Hodge couldn't get a baggy green.

"We're always trying to find ways to get behind the line," Johnson said after yesterday's play.
"Whether we feel enclosed with the nets being there, I don't know what it is, but I'll still bowl half a foot over in the nets. I don't know how we can fix that.
"Obviously it's coming into play out in the middle and we need to keep finding a way to fix these problems, whether it's doing more centre-wicket practice or being more strict at training.
"I don't know what the England side are like with their no-balls at training, but it's obviously a problem we have and we need to fix it as soon as we can."
England's senior paceman James Anderson said: "We think it's an important part of our jobs to stay behind the line. We practise it in the nets and try to replicate that in the middle."
