Exactly what you said!! Disappointed that we didn't really give a yelp on Saturday night, but so proud of the season we had and can't wait for the 2012 season. And yes, hope Manly get smashed by the Warriors on Saturday night.

Oh yeah, and no surprise that Matai & Williams were not suspended.... that's the NswRL for you.

Storm were treading water over the last 6 weeks.

St. George should have beaten us easily but Billy saved two tried and St. George butchered another 4 themselves.

Yes, our form at the end of the season wasn't great. I was worried that if we made the GF we'd get smashed by Manly & I couldn't go through that AGAIN.

In week 2 the 2 losers from the top half play the winners of the Elimination finals, with the 2 winners progressing to week 3.

Here's where it differs. From the 2 sides that won in week 1 & progressed straight to week 3, the one that was highest on the ladder chooses who it meets in week 3. To explain that in AFL terms, Collingwood as the highest finisher that won in week 1, would have chosen whether it wanted to play Hawthorn or the West Coast Eagles in the Preliminary Final.
Interesting that Warrington elected to play Leeds rather than Wigan & lost overnight.

Leeds into the Super League Grand Final & will play tonight's winner between St.Helens & Wigan.

Blah, blah, blah, Manly won, who cares!

Anyhow, Des Hasler has decided to quit Manly & will coach the Bulldogs next year (earning $750K for his troubles).

What's actually wierder is that he will coach Manly next year then Canterbury from 2013. Our supporters have trouble with a guy who left for the money getting a game and attending the B&F. How would they feel about a guy coaching a full year who'd signed for more money elsewhere?

Yep, a wonderful time to live in Melbourne with it's lack of NRL coverage.

It didn't seem to work too well at St George when Wayne Bennett announced half way through this season he'll be coaching Newcastle next year. They went from on top of the ladder, almost undefeated to finishing 5th & bombing out of the finals in straight sets.

Hopefully the same happens with Manly next year.

Its fair to say this has gone belly up for Manly with Des Hasler stood down for 'serious breaches of contract'. Appears he has been endeavoring to coerce staff & players to join him at Canterbury in 2013.

                        Very, very untidy.

If I were running the NRL I'd almost be looking at him for bringing the game into disrepute if this was proven.

David Gallop is running the NRL and HE is bringing the game into disrepute.
