    NBA Dunk Videos

    Like the high mark is to AFL, the slam dunk is an aspect of basketball that is not only unique to its sport but truly spectacular to watch at its best.

    With the slam dunk competition held anually at the All Star game in the NBA, it gives some of the games showmen a chance to turn this skill into an art form.

    Here are some videos that show some of my favourite dunks of all time.

    I love some of the props they use nowadays. The cupcake dunk is piss funny

          Some highlights from this years contest, won by the freakishly talented Blake Griffin.

                  Carter's dunk in the 2000 comp is probably my favorite in a slam dunk competition, I think it comes in at #3 in your clip above.
                  But my all time favorite is Jordan's dunk against New York in one of the playoffs. This was in one of the physical confrontations they had in the 90s. I'm not a big MJ fanatic but it was awesome. He Had John Starks on him, takes him baseline where Charles Okley provides the double team, he brings the two of them back out before again going baseline on both of them, then throws it down on (and I do mean 'on') Patrick Ewing. Most player wouldn't get passed one of these three guys, let alone smoke two and finish on top of the third.

                                      Why haven't you YouTube guru's put up Griffins dunk over Perkins yet?
                                      (I'd do it but technologically *!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!).
