I'll just pick the 'Scorchers' GVGjr, despite them having the stupidest nickname ever conceived. Well, apart from the 'HEAT' and the 'Stars' and the 'Strikers' and the 'Sixers' and the....

      What were they thinking???
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Apparently animal or historical names were not deemed appropriate.

If the Renegades use the RATM version of 'Renegades of Funk' as their theme song you should definitely pick them.

Which is the only reason I'll give some consideration to watching the Renegades, despite having watched most of Victoria's t20 games since the format was introduced.

Same here. I'm not the biggest fan of T20 cricket anyway but this format is unlikely to inspire me to watch it.

I took my little bloke to all the Bushies T20 games last year - he absolutely loved it. He became a massive, massive Bushrangers fan.

I've explained to him that we can't go and see the Bushrangers this year but we can still pick a side to watch.

"I want to watch Cameron White and Aaron Finch". Bugger.

Good thread TCD, stickied. Not a fan of the concept and honestly I think the fans are going to vote with their feet. Complete disregard for loyalty in the hunt for a cheap Indian buck.

I am going to wait until I have watched a few games and see if one of them grabs my allegiance. If Finch, D.Hussey and White were all on the same team it would have made my choice easy.

When do we find out the international players.

Is anyone else excited by this comp? I would have preferred it to stay the ways it was though.

What would have you done if they both played for SA?

Not in the slightest. I thought the previous format to be a good one and other than jazzing things up I don't see how this new approach is a good one for supporters.
There will be a lot of supporters of it but I doubt it will win me over.

As you can tell by my above post edit I am already struggling to pick a side after seeing Finch elsewhere. I couldn't bring myself to barracking for a side outside of Victoria no matter who was playing for them.

I guess for me it will depend on the international players they bring in and the standard of cricket. But I love all the formats of cricket evenly.

Were you much of a BigBash fan in the old format Gary?
