I really am playing devils advocate here, Im as far from sold as Hughes as anyone but wouldnt 16 first class tons from 60 matches at an average of 50 go a bit of the way to disproving the theory that it was simply a flash in the pan?

He's young and will improve but his technique is currently poor and I think he will struggle for consistency.

Big plusses for him are that he is only 22, and plays in the preferred State as far as selection goes. Langer certainly has some work to do with him on his technique and shot selection, but obviously the raw talent is undeniable.
