Re: Horse Racing 2012
The handling of Damien Oliver this carnival has been ordinary to say the least.
How he was allowed to race yesterday and days prior after seemingly (by all reports) admitting to betting on another ride in a race he was participating in is beyond me.
I've only had one good betting Spring, and that was when I lived with a guy who watched the tapes religiously. I didn't take home much but I was more informed. In the years before that and since I've figured unless you do a bit of work towards research you're just another mug propping up those on the inside or with better knowledge.
This sort of thing just reinforces my view that racing is hype, mixed with bogans making arses of themselves on the big days and people that are dishonest and cheating the system. RVL's response thus far to the scandal has been pathetic.
