    Australia v West Indies tour

I see Haddin is back home due to personal reasons meaning Wade is now the number one keeper, Nevill has gone over as a replacement.
First one dayer tonight on fox at 12.30

    Easy win over night.

Haddin wasn't going to play the one dayers anyway and might be back there for the test series

He's a very good gloveman who has had a good season with the bat. I think he is a better Test prospect than Wade.

Ayone watch it? Painfully slow innings from Forrest, 20 odd of 60 odd balls. Good effort from Doherty/Christian. I think the crowd were chanting "We want Gayle' or similar.

Peter Nevill is a very good keeper/batsman. He does deserve this, even though it is an understudy role to Wade, which it should be. I don't think Haddin will be back for Tests.

West Indies cricket politics is detroying the game, the quicker someone cleans out the chiefs out there and starts a clean slate the better.

Not as simple as that but politics plays a role as well.

Good article here about one of the greatest batsmen of all time. Certainly the best I have ever seen.

He is actually from Victoria but went to NSW to get a chance.

Pretty much politics, wrong people up the top, coaching, managing the game, as I said get them out and put in the right ones.
                  Why is Gayle not playing?
Because the game is being run wrong. He is frustrated no end.

He does appear to be much better suited to Test cricket. I wonder how long they'll play him in the ODI team before they look at giving him a Test match.

Tremendous declaration by Clarke. Made a statement that we were out to win this test.
                      Excellent win considering the position

Great win but the batting is a major worry. Cowans done bigger all.

Great declaration, Mark Taylor-esque. Really put te Windies on the back foot. I reckon we won as pour blokes are battle-hardened seasoned professionals who can go for 5 days. Windies lost as they are are talented cricketers, but not seasoned pros.

The Windies lost because they had a poor 2 hours where they let our last wicket put on a 100 and then lost 3 for f-all.

                              Seasoned pro's... Meh.
