    Looking forward to it!
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Yes some long nights coming up. Hopefully Cadel is right up there again. Will be interesting to see how Greenedge goes. Their aim is to try and win some stages.

Can't see Cadel not being up there again, stronger team and seems to be in good form as evidenced by recent results. The cards fell his way last year with early retirements and other riders being in poor form so all things being equal I'm expecting a tougher challenge this year, but the confidence gained from last years win will be immense... He knows he can win it which is half the battle against others who hope they can.

Expecting GreenEdge to have a rider in just about every breakaway to try and get sponsors coverage/ stage wins and to support Goss in the sprint stages.

Sky look super strong, but it's going to interesting to see how they play the Wiggins battle for the GC as well as stage wins for Cavendish... I can't see them wanting to bury too many riders for Cav with the mountains looming.

The Sky v BMC battle will be intriguing... Can't wait!!!

Can't wait for it to start, I was on holidays for the entire 3 weeks last year and barely missed a moment. The final stage time trial was one of the best sporting events (from an Australian perspective) I've ever watched.

I'm hoping Cadel can do it again, but I think he'll need a lot to go his way.

I love the TDF and have watched it for many years. It will be a bit different not seeing Andy Schleck out there this year after he pulled out of the race due to fracturing his pelvis.

Go Cadel and bring it home again this year!

I was on nightshift during the last week of last year's tour. I was in the office doing paperwork when Cadel ran his timetrial and I was at home for the last 90 minutes or so of the last stage, sitting with a glass of bundy and toasting Cadel's success. I'm glad I got to watch a bit of Australian Sporting history.

I've got the house to myself for the next 3 weeks while my wife and kids are visiting her parents interstate so I'm sure I'll take plenty of it in this year.

I use to hate the Schleck brothers but after last year and the sportsmanship they showed towards Cadel I changed my mind. His competitiveness will be missed.

I enjoy watching both the Schlecks but like in any sport I like to see the best out there performing...and I agree with you Andy's competitveness will definitely be missed.

I watched the One Sunday In Paris documentary tonight on SBS and Andy Schleck really came across as a good guy and an honest competitor.

Sagan takes another stage over night with another impressive win.

Cadel gets through unscathed after a stage filled with crashes, including one in the final 3km which saw Bradley Wiggins go down (he finished the stage comfortably).

A Team Sky rider crashed earlier in the stage too. I didn't know much about him but the commentary team were saying he was one of the teams mountain stage domestiques. That may hinder Wiggins later in the tour.

Hopefully definitely the one to beat IMO.

I too disliked the Schlecks until after I saw this for the first time:

                            "I remember waiting for you."

Contador is still a dirty cheat though.

No more than many others, but I believe that has all but been cleaned up. You would have to be crazy to use performance enhancement drugs. Have a look at what is coming out now about Armstrong.
