At his peak was one of the best ever ODI bowlers. Enjoyed watching his career and glad I got to see his Test debut live, what a start to a career.

One of the best fast bowlers for the Australian Cricket Team in his prime. I saw him once when we were in Brisbane on holidays in the summer in the early 2000s.

He earned my respect as a ODI bowler. Earlier in his career he was a bit of a liability.

One of the best celebrators going around. I always wanted to see him have a celebration competition with Lleyton Hewitt, a genuine jigg off, Zoolander style.
        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Well done on a very good career.
Thought he tried to bowl a little to fast there for a while.

Retired about 5 years too late. Enormously over-rated.

Took as many one-day wickets as Glenn McGrath in 15 less matches

Poor Brett will never please some.

Well done on a what has ended up being a long, successful career. Certainly not on the same platform as McGrath, or even Dizzy for that matter, but a great contributor in a strong era.

He was a very good cricketer in all forms of the game but not a great one. From memory he never took 10 wickets in a test match.
Quick with the ball he often tried to do the intimidating, good with the bat and a very good arm in the out field.

He probably played on for 3 years too many but I think Australian cricket supporters should be able to applaud his efforts.

Without splitting hairs, I have his career at good for tests and T20 (whatever they are worth) and very good for ODIs.

You might be underselling him a fraction with his test career but it's probably a very fair assessment.

Many batsmen over the past 15 years will tell you that at his peak he was the scariest to face. Hit more batsmen than Akhtar and bowled a better line after he made some corrections to his action. For a while there he was touted as an all-rounder.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Agreed, remember watching his first test, very exciting.
