    Chelsea Sack Roberto Di Matteo

Manager Roberto Di Matteo has parted company with Chelsea, the club have announced.

After losing 3-0 to Juventus in last nights Champions League group match, Roman Abramovich has wasted little time dispensing with the services of RDM.

Staggering decision, but lets be honest they were due a new manager.
Just wonder who Lampard and Terry will appoint as manager?
      Word is Rafa Benitez

Sad day to be a Chelsea supporter.

I always had the feeling he was just keeping Peps seat warm this year.

Spot on, Rafa Benitez confirmed as new Chelsea Manager. Torres might fire up now!

Rafa Benitez previously wasn't managing anyone so it will be interesting to see how he goes but it is only until the end of the season. Chelsea seem like a trap for managers. I'm a Man Utd fan but the way Abramobich the Chelsea owner treated Di Matteo was not very good at all.

Just like Di Matteo was last season. They (well Abramobich) really, really want Pepe Reina to come and manage them, dont they?

I thought that Chelsea fans hated Benitez.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

                Pep Guardiola perhaps?

And yeah, Chelsea fans can't stand Rafa - they were already trying to get #RafaOut trending on twitter.

Rafa might surprise them and do ok but most likely he won't make much of a difference for Chelsea. He won a champions league at Liverpool but in that season Liverpool finished 5th.

Torres isn't the player he was at Pool, the yard of pace he has lost has killed his game.

The majority do because he hated Chelsea while manager of Liverpool and had a lot to say about our fans, history and players.

I'm still gutted by this and hope the FA allow Drogba back on loan to give me something to smile about.

God yeah! Sorry about that, I'd just been listening to a podcast that had mentioned Pepe Reina and he was in my head. Still it'd be a fair step up from being Liverpool's goalkeeper to Chelsea's new manager. They must be the two shortest term jobs in football though.

Another one bites the dust, QPR terminating Mark Hughes' contract.
