    Welcome back Phil Hughes

    Hughes to replace Ponting for the series. Hope he performs for everyone's sake.

          True. Still throws the bat at anything outside off stump though

            I sort of predicted Hughes being given the nod but the one thing we will really notice with him replacing Ponting is the gap in their fielding standards.

            Twodogs will not be happy as he places a very high premium on fielding.

                He is probably the best batsman outside of the test team at the moment, though I think the best case scenario would've been giving him another year or two to consistently score runs at the lower level. If he fails and is dropped thats four times in and out of the test team...hard to see a young guy coming back from that.
