    Finch

Must a certainty for the t20s and ODIs surely. His season reminds me of Warner's break through year at state level a few season back. Be good to have another Victorian in the team.

He and Warner opening, and on song, would be great watching.

Finch is a great white ball player, but he hasn't been able to make a run in the four day format.

      Re: Finch

He has done more than enough to be selected but with McDonald out injured I'm surprised he isn't in the Vics shield side.
I think he is good enough to play all forms of the game but maybe T20 is his ticket at an Australian cap,

Can't play off the back foot.
Has to improve markedly to play test cricket.

          Re: Finch

I think it can be hard mentally when you're dominating limited overs/t20 and struggling in the long form of the game. Had to strike a balance between being your strength of being aggressive and the patience that comes with the long form.

Players can easily give up their strength or go the other way and try to hit their way out of it. When Warner first started dominating ODIs/t20s, I thought he was pretty much no chance of playing test cricket.

I think opening can help with the field being so attacking/in. Maybe Vics should go with Rogers, Finch and Quiney at 3. Probably good for Quiney's international hopes too.

Anyone else see his dead ball six. If it hadn't hit the roofing beams that would easily have been the biggest six ever seen, it was on its way to the top deck easily.

Yes saw that, should have been counted as a 6, well over the boundary line.

Agree. Some of the third umpire decisions have been mystifying throughout the BB.

One thing that has been good is Finch. Top scorer in the ODD at an average of about 100 and 200 runs at an average of 200 in the BB. Should have a good summer for Australia in the T20s and ODIs.

In the ODI squad. Recognition for good form. And another Victorian !!!

I reckon Finchy from The Office might be more effective. He certainly won't lack confidence.

If David Brent was on the selection panel he'd be right in. DB had a lot of man love for Finchy.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Tecnically they were the new years eve/day special/s.

That actor does a lot of cameos on British TV shows. Every time he crops up on one I have to yell "Finchyyy!!!! Oh now it'll starthe we go"

Aaron Finch really just has one more game to impress the selectors and I think it's Wednesday nights T20 game. He's been disappointing to date.
