Phil Hughes looks in great touch, that cover drive was the shot of the summer for mine

Not the best way to end the session going into lunch.

I've thought about it for more than an hour now. I still dont understand why you'd try and take a quick single like that in the last over before a break. Especially when the over is being bowled by Sri Lanka's opening batsman.

Surely you'd just pat the six balls back to the bowler, tuck your bat under your arm and walk off knowing you were going to make a ton?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

and nothing since. I am a big doubter here, hopefully he can make it as we are struggling for openers

Hughes now over 50, we need him to cement a spot.

Hughes nicks a no-ball through to the keeper...when things go your way they go your way

Please tell me someone else caught that catch? What. A. Ripper by Jayawardene to remove Watson for 30

Since his 100 he has made 41, 13, 29 and 57. Not great but hardly a slump especially when you consider how harsh it is to just ignore his best score.

He has averaged 43.8 this summer, pretty good IMO. I think he gets treated harshly because of the way he gets out.

I think bad is talking about Cowan, not Warner.

Great ton by Hussey, should have been caught out on 96 though with a fairly easy outfield catch dropped, especially at that level.

As expected we are looking good in this test against Sri Lanka who were a team that lost to New Zealand. Ashame we didn't play the South Africans now.
