    Your ODI Dream team

If you had to assemble your best every ODI team of Australian player you have seen what would it look like?

I'd have to have Gilchrist and Mark Waugh at the top of the order and Jones at number 3

    M.Waugh
    Gilchrist
    Jones
    Ponting
    M.Hussey
    Bevan
    Watson
    Warne
    B. Lee
    Lillee
    McGrath
    Symonds (12th man)

    A few things
    - Steve Waugh probably had two lives as an ODI player. Allrounder then as a batsman. If his body allowed him to bowl while he was at the peak of his batting powers, I'd have him in.
    - Lillee didn't play much compared to others. I guess 100 wickets gets you in. McDermott was the next pace bowler.
    - Had another look and dropped Pup!

Clarke makes it Rocco? I would have thought there was a number of players ahead of him

I couldn't fit him in. There was a number of players who I wish I could.

Tough team to pick, I tried to pick a balanced top 7.

              - Mike Hussey stiff to miss. Bevan nudges him as the finisher.

As usual I agree with Rocco. Although I would have Tugga in for Pup. And Symonds in the extended squad.

Clarke has a great average but looking at it again, I think I will replace him with Michael Hussey at 5.

Would like to fit in Symonds as a power hitter but Jones, Ponting, Hussey and Bevan are just too hard to nudge out. Watson's ODI numbers are very impressive for an all-rounder.

                  Thanks!

Yeah Symonds is a good call mate. With Ponting, Huss, Jones, Pup, S.Waugh, Watson and Bevan all being pure batsman, guys who steadily move the score along, a real XI would probably benefit by the balance of a power hitter like Symonds.
