Nice one for Maxwell. After todays first ball duck maybe they are regretting the million

And Christian has gone from $900,000 to nothing!

Its all about the bidding war, getting two coaches who are desperate for a player and they find themselves overnight millionaires

I'm a fan of Richardson and I think he has quite a bit of potential but this sort of pay day is the kind of thing that can ruin a young cricketers career. Some of the sums of money are ridiculous.

Poor old Dan Christian is out of favor everywhere. Edit - I see he did get picked up for $100K.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

                      Re: IPL Auction

Reading through the live bidding it looks like Maxwell was caught in a bidding war between Tom Moody and Mumbai's coach John Wright, Mumbai seemed to have bid for just about every Aussie on offer.

It was Pune and the Chennai Super Kings who got caught in a bidding war over Kane Richardson which is strange as neither team have any Australian connection.

By the way Aussie quicks Hazelwood, Cutting and Mckay all went unsold at base prices of 100,000 (Mckay was picked up as a second round option) but Kane Richardson gets 700,000? Just strange

Blows my mind that we are now up to IPL 7, seems like yesterday the whole thing kicked off.

Maxwell is living up to his price tag, has consecutive innings of 95 and 89 in leading big chases

More Maxwell watch rather than IPL but he is currently on 48* from 19 balls, watching it he is in some kind of form. No one striking them better in the world at the moment
