    National Rugby League - 2013

I heard Bellamy has committed to the Storm until 2016. Good news for the club.

FANTASTIC news, puts all the speculation to rest so now we can all concentrate on trying to win back to back premierships.

I think loyalty is a bit of a foreign concept in the NRL, great to see Craig staying. As he said, he loves the team.

Re: National Rugby League - 2013

I've moved a couple of posts from the 2012 thread onto a thread to discuss this season of the NRL.

Fire away with discussion of the upcoming year.

If you're not a fan of Rugby League, I totally respect that. Just keep off this thread and let others enjoy.

Terrific news and up yours to the Sydney media mafia.
Honestly the Daily Telegraph was salivating the thought Bellamy was leaving the Storm.

Very happy Storm fan right about now! Just fantastic that Bellyache is staying - love that it will stick in the neck of many a NSW rugby league fan!

Fantastic win! It's great considering how stacked in Leeds favour the game was. No travel for them, played at their home ground, in their weather, their season has already started.... wonderful effort by Storm. I just hope it doesn't take too much of a toll, round one is only 2 weeks away with a pretty punishing trip to Townsville in round 2, followed by a home game 5 nights later.

I'm looking forward to seeing how/if Parramatta improves under Ricky Stuart.

I'm not overly optimistic but the only way is up for us.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I was sad for Stephen Kearney that he didn't do well at Parramatta. Hope you have a better season this year. Not too good though.

Don't worry Suz. We could improve 1000% and we'd still be miles behind the Storm.

I cant believe how good the Storm are. nearly as good as some of those sides the Eels put on the park in the late '70s and early '80s.

PROMISING WESTS TIGERS PLAYER MOSESE FOTUAIKA FOUND DEAD

The Wests Tigers has confirmed one of their promising young players has been found dead.

Up-and-coming prop Mosese Fotuaika, 20, was found dead by police in his Merrylands townhouse at around 7pm last night.

Fotuaika was a star of last year's Grand Final winning Under 20s side, and was slated to make his NRL debut in 2013 after playing for the senior side in trial matches.

The club paid tribute to the young player on its Facebook site.

"Thoughts and prayers go out to the wests tigers [sic] very own moses Fotuaika and his family during this very difficult time may god help them and watch over them!!"

Tigers star Tim Moltzen also remembered Fotuaika on Twitter.

"Such a sad end to the day. R.I.P big Moses, such a great kid and gone way to young. Be sorely missed by everyone at the club.#brothers,” he said.

NSW police confirmed a 20-year-old man was found dead in his apartment, saying there were no suspicious circumstances.

Great win on Sunday for Storm. Damn hot at AAMI Park, I felt for the players & officials out on the ground, it was hot enough sitting in the stands! A couple of intercept tries, they're always exciting. Was nice to see the NRLs new CEO present the Premiership and the World Club Challenge trophies to the supporters. He made a point of saying that Melbourne & Victoria are a very important part of the NRL. Will be interesting to see how Storm back up with a game in Townsville on Saturday night, followed by a home game 5 nights later against the Bulldogs. Great fixturing NRL - NOT.
