4th Test Australia vs England at Durham

    Started 9th August.

England on top so far with the score 3-149

Lyon just claimed the big wicket of Kevin Pieterson.
Cook has made a 50 that Boycott would be proud of, coming from just over 150 balls
He is still unbeaten and has been a steady hand for England though.

Nath Lyon the best of the bowlers with 2-22, with the paceman quite economical.

Indeed it was, McGrath-esque piece of seam bowling.

Poms are overrated. They are lucky we've been dysfunctional over the last 6 months. With some juice in the wickets in Australia, we will hav a massive chance to reclaim the Ashes. Poms have problems with 2 batting positions, the keeper is out of form and the bowling depth is not particularly menacing.

Not sure why they didn't try Onion in this test.

The next series is the one to win as you get to keep the ashes longer.

Agreed, the wicket would have suited him.

Is there really not a better bat in this country with a better technique suitable for English conditions than Warner?

Nice century from Rogers and a 68 from Watson, the rest all failed. 222/5, need to go on and get a lead of around 100.

It's a shame Watson didn't go on with it. Rogers was stead and deserved his century.

We have our nose in front but we need every one of that 100 run lead if we are to win this game. Swan and Anderson will be a handful on a day 4 or 5 pitch.

Yeah Rogers had a very nervous 96, was good that he got the hundred though.
Broad and Bresnan got a few to move off the seam, but Anderson largely didn't get much out of the conditions.

Just terrific to see some occupation of the crease and some grit and fight from the Aussie top order.
                        Well done Chris Rogers

Bloody rain in England again with Australia needing 299 to win With 11 on the board. Nicely done by Harris to pickup 7 wickets

All over red rover , Australia lost 5-9 the middle order non existant, all out for 224

Disappointing considering we were 0-109 and 2-168.

Khawaja is a concern at no. 3. Does he retain his spot for the last test or does Phil Hughes come back in at no. 3 for his umpteenth chance.

                              Our batting really is a concern as we have no depth. Is there anyone knocking on the door? Maxwell; Finch; the guy from Tasmania;
