    Holger sacked

Wonder when the FFA will take responsibility themselves?

Operation get Guus should be happening if they had any idea.

What an embarrassing performance against France.

Very untidy performance. Was surely on notice after Brazil and totally unacceptable result overnight. Wasn't expecting to win but 6-0 is inexcusable.

Very worrying signs I would say. Even though its a friendly international a 6-0 drubbing is unacceptable. The way we are going we are set for an early exit from the 2014 World Cup unless performances can pick up somehow.

I'm very worried about the World Cup regardless of who is in charge. We have too many senior players not playing enough or playing in poor leagues. Mark Schwarzer decision to join Chelsea & Holman decision to play in a crap league in a World Cup year are 2 examples of where Holger should have advised them against making poor decisions.

Some say Schwarzer moving to Chelsea was a good thing in terms of our national team but maybe it wasn't the best move in the end. How much game time has Schwarzer had with Chelsea?

I think it's time we moved on from Shwarzer, we have the ex victory guy killing them in the German league.

The squad should have been rebuilt after the 10 World Cup.
Unfortunately when you employ an overseas coach with the sole objective to get us to the World Cup, rebuilds are not adhered to.
Think we'll go with a short term Huudink type then a rebuild mantra under Ange or Popovich.
The local league is strong enough to survive the national team not making a big tournament or two.

Yeah your right ledge. Schwarzer is towards the end of his career now so we need to look to the future.

Do we really though? I've always wondered with sports at the national level if it was as important to introduce young talent the same way you would at club level. IMO if Schwarzer is still the best Australian keeper in the world he should continue to wear the number 1, regardless of what stage of career he's at.

                      ?
Langerack is not the number 1 keeper at his club.

Yep, hes only playing as their number 1 was suspended.

Schwarzer had looked fine every chance hes gotten so far( plus he'll get all the FA & League cup games.)Plus he trains every day with world class players.

The keeper is the least of our worries.

Should have been rebuilt after the 06 World Cup as Guus told them to.

Nationality of the coach has nothing to do with it. If you employed an Aussie and told him "reach the World Cup" that would be all they care about.

                            Yep, in hindsight.
There seems to have been a thought that for the A- league to survive we had to make the World Cup .

Now the A League is going a bit ahead of our national team.
