    New Australia Manager

With Holger Osieck gone assistant Aurelio Vidmar will be taking over temporarily until we find a new manager. Who is the best man for the job. Do we go with another foreign manager or go for a local coach.

Guus, easily the best available and is able to come in and have a quick impact.

Would be great to get Guus back. I've heard his not coaching anyone at the moment. Who are some other possibilities local coach maybe Graham Arnold.

Guus is only about the $s and his own image. Prefer someone that cares a little about the future.

Yeah probably right with Arnold. His had his go. Do you agree A Ford with some of the greats about getting a homegrown coach.

We need someone for the world cup. The future can wait until after that.

We need to lock in someone fairly soon to get some stability there.

This cup is a write off as it is. We keep playing guys in lesser leagues and not first team players we are doomed for longer. Time is right to blood players and a local coach. We lose either way.
More worried about the Asian cup here soon after that.

We certainly need to fix our defence that's for sure. Conceding 6 goals in two international friendlies in a row is just not good enough.

Can't fix the defence by adding David Carney to the line up. That alone was a sackable offense.
Neill should not be squad let alone captain.

We are just not good at the moment. Hopefully by the time the 2018 World Cup rolls around will be a competitive team one that fights.

I would rather a BMac who will give us a crack and rebuild us, if Guus is prepared to do a couple of campaigns them he is the best choice.
If not lets get someone who will commit and rebuild the team.

When Guus left he told the FFA to use the following Asian cup (2007) to introduce young players. The FFA ignored his advice and asked Pim to win the cup. The FFA are our main problem.

Australia 3-0 Canada. Good to get a win but it was against a much weaker opposition in the Canadians. Good start for temporary manager Aurelio Vidmar.
