Re: Spurs Sack AVB
Throw in the West Ham and City results and the complete lack of goals and is it really a surprise.
The lack of left backs is his fault and in turn the 1 fit CB is his fault too as Jan wouldn't have had to play there if we had adequate LB cover for Rose and didnt send BAE out on loan. -
Re: Spurs Sack AVB
Didn't mind AVB although felt that he was a bit too defensive. It will be interesting to see whom the replacement will be - better not be Mr Redknapp as he is doing a fine job at the R's.Comment

Re: Spurs Sack AVB
In my mind they have jumped the gun. Sacking and replacing him with interim managers in Sherwood and Ferdinand is all fine and well, but are these guys really going to do any better than AVB over the season?
Despite the Liverpool result the team is 5 points of a CL spot, that is less than 2 games. Personally this is a kneejerk from Levy and is symbolic of how not to run a professional side. I would have preferred that AVB be encouraged to develop Plan B, C, D & E. Maybe some mentoring rather than a sacking would have achieved better results.Comment

Re: Spurs Sack AVB
You honestly believe he hasn't been advised to have a plan B and C in the past 3 years he has been in England? We've scored 15 goals in 16 games. 3 points from a possible 21 against the top 8 this season.
Over the season they probably won't do better but I doubt they will be in charge for long at all. To think if he accepted the PSG job in the summer we'd have been paid 10m for himComment

Re: Spurs Sack AVB
This year was poor and I agree that the dispute with Ade and Bene was counter productive - he should have found a way through it, but sacking him with no real plan isn't helping either!Comment
