Ian Bell goes and I reckon another wicket or two will be on top after the 1st day play. The good thing for us is that England have not gotten away from us.

They are all getting starts but not going on with it.

Bell and Cook have had a disappointing tour

Johnson strikes. Stokes is the batsmen out for England.

Another wicket for Johnson. We would have expected better than 6 wickets for the day but we haven't allowed them easy runs.

Another wicket before stumps would be nice

Agree Gary. Another wicket in the last 5 minutes or so would be great. Anyone attend the match today.

Have to ask questions about the English batting strategy, have always been a team of grinders but performances like today are simply asking for trouble. No intent

Yeah they certainly were not going for it and played very conservatively. I think tomorrow will very likely get them all out and will go into bat unless they get some partnership going which I don't think they will. Great crowd today with the official attendance for Day 1 being 91,092.

Although the atmosphere improved in the last session, it was fairly dull for such an enormous crowd. Then again, as has been mentioned, it was a very conservative approach.

Sometimes crowds can be big but less passionate and sometimes crowds can be small but be much more passionate. Do you reckon Kevin Pieterson was a bit under the weather today?

Listened to some of the game. Great effort to garner out 6 on that wicket. Strange decision to send them in!

Clarke told the side he would bat if he won the toss. On the way out to the middle he talked to some people and promptly changed his mind due to the overcast conditions.

Great first over from Johnson, Pietersen gives his wicket away.

Pretty soft dismissal from Warner. He'll be kicking himself for not taking the time to settle in on this wicket. Sure he came out with a positive mindset but that stroke and some of his slashes were not what we needed to get our innings going and turn the screws on England.
                                TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
