    T20 - Big Bash

Anyone watching the T20 cricket at the moment?

I'm not a huge fan of it especially at the international level but there has been some decent cricket from what I have seen.

Every now and then. Whatever appeal it once had for me is gone I'm sad to say. There is only so much of this chasing young ditzy stuff one can absorb before one wishes for a little more substance (unless you're Charlie Sheen). Especially with test cricket being so thoroughly enjoying from our teams performances, especially rotating individual performances.

I actually wondered how long it would be to a thread was posted.

Went along with some mates to the Gabba the other night to see Hobart chase down over 200, was brilliant to shut the locals up especially as alot really can their own players.

$22 for a seat close to the fence is decent value, over 400 runs scored so was highly entertaining, just wondered why on earth throw the ball to Ben Cutting trying to defend 10 runs in the final over, highly overrated bowler who can't bowl a decent length or yorker to save himself when they had Vetori who momentarily swung tbe game the Heats way when given a few overs.

Exciting finish to the Sixers and Heat match tonight. Ben Cutting hit a big 6 on the 2nd last delivery of the game and needed a boundary off the last ball to force a super over but was caught in the deep by Henriques.

Good game, actually there have been a number of close games over the past week and I must say I am a recent convert. It's on every night so I get a good cricket fix (much to my wife's dismay).

Cricket really is a game of inches isn't it, if Cutting had of gotten that ball an inch to his left it would have went over the fence!
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I love the domestic leagues of T20. Never watch international matches of them.

The final has just started. I think the series has just dragged on for too long but it might be a decent final.
Interesting Shaun Marsh is playing tonight but was regarded as injured for the SA tour.

                      Re: T20 - Big Bash

If I was picking a 14 man T20 World Cup squad I'd go for something like:

Finch, Dunk, Watson, White, Bailey (Capt) Maxwell, Henriques, Faulkner, Coulter-Nile, McKay, Hogg, Starc, Pattinson and Warner.

I'd be tempted to pick Lyon if it was a 15 man squad.

I've gone in with a 2nd string wicket keeper which is a gamble.

I'd be interested to hear other squads. How many would pick Hodge?

It's funny seeing Hogg in there, like drafting Chris Grant again. He's earnt it though, good luck to him.

Our squad for the T20 World Cup is:

George Bailey (capt), Daniel Christian, Nathan Coulter-Nile
James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, Brad Haddin, Brad Hodge
Brad Hogg, Glenn Maxwell, James Muirhead, Mitchell Johnson
Mitchell Starc, David Warner, Shane Watson and Cameron White

Should Haddin be in the side?
                          What about Hodge?

Good squad I reckon. Interesting to see who opens, White and Watson probably find spots in the middle order with Finch and Warner opening. I don't mind Haddin, would've liked to squeeze Dunk in but I like a fairly decent keeper in the T20 side, one mistake with the gloves and it can be game over. Paine would have been my choice, had a very solid Big Bash

With T20 you have to go with whoever is in form, see last years guns doing nothing this year. It's churn and burn with who ever is the flavour of the day, so White, Muirhead and Hodge are in that category. Next year will be different again.
