NSW v Vic - Pura Cup

    Vic 2/142

    Hodge 61*
    Hussey 41*

With 2 of the best 5 or so batsman in the Pura Cup comp. at the crease the Vics would be looking for these 2 to pile on the runs.

Vics now 3/239 Hussey made 86. Hodge 105no and White 5no.

Looking at the Vic bowlers. They seemed to have turned over a bit this season.
No Harwood, Nannes, Denton and others!

      6-339 - 93overs (3 overs remaining)

      McDonald 19*
      McKay 1*

Good fight back by NSW dismissing White (54) and Wade (6) with 2nd new ball, but were lucky to dismiss Hodge (119) and Hussey (86) both caught down the leg side.

Hodge just got the important wicket of Katich for 70. The floodgates could be ready to open tomorrow

First innings points may be enough to get the final.

WE WILL BE WITHOUT HUSSEY. He has gone to Adelaide as a backup and Quiney comes in for Hussey I think. (I would have thought they would have kept going with Haddin)

They couldn't afford to not play Hussey. Haddin should only play when Gilchrist is being rested.

                    It's an interesting one.

1st innings points will be enough to get in the final, but do we settle for 2 points or go for 6?

The way the pitch is looking in this game we don't want the final played in Sydney. It could end up with them making 900 like Qld did on the road they prepared at the Gabba a few years back.

I reckon when it comes to the Shield Final the side finishing on top deserves the reward of playing at home.

Unfortunately tracks are then 'doctored' so as to make it virtually impossible to take the 20 wickets you need to win. Almost tantamount to cheating.

Maybe Cricket Australia should appoint a nuetral curator to prepare a deck that's akin to good 5 day test wicket.

Just too much of an advantage as it presently stands.

WOW! Khawaja and Henriques were cruising to the lead and then they lost 3 wickets in 3 overs to finish equal. Unfortunately that will probably give the HGA to NSW.

Good to see 2 young players with potential do well though.

Both teams still have 2 games remaining, so anything is possible.

Vics to play WA & Qld.

NSW to play Tas & SA.

                            How unlucky are WA.

1 point each and WA are finished
