    The Oakland A’s general manager tells Sean Ingle he is keen on what the rest of the world calls football despite the challenges it poses number-crunching


    Good article about statistics and how they permeate sports. Begs the question, not whether a team should be using them, but that more and more budget should be directed to statistical analysis. In the age of Big Data and the ability to analyse Big Data much more cost effectively its a crime not to be focus' on this.

      Billy severely screwed up this season trading out a Oakland's best offensive weapon for some post season top notch pitching.
      Severely affected their line up
